Upcoming Exhibit First Annual Alumni Exhibition October 19 - November 5, 2009 The George Caleb Bingham Gallery is pleased to host the First Annual Alumni Exhibition. The artists featured in this exhibition are Jenny Dowd, Erin Cork, and Curtis Erlinger. Artwork in this exhibition will consist of sculptural, fiber, and mixed media pieces. Jenny Dowd received her MFA from the Art Department in 2005. Her work has been exhibited in juried exhibitions across the United States as well as in the Premio Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro International Competition for Young Sculptors in Milan, Italy. Dowd currently lives in Wyoming and works at the Art Association of Jackson Hole. Erin Cork received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Art in 2005. Erin’s work has been exhibited at the Gage Gallery of Roosevelt University in Chicago, the Good Citizen Gallery in Saint Louis, and the Foundry Art Centre in Saint Charles. She is currently teaching at local colleges and universities as an adjunct professor. She is also teaching high school art classes and fiber classes at a St. Louis area studio in addition to working in her studio on fine art and functional pieces. Curtis Erlinger earned his MFA from the Art Department in 2005. His works have been featured in solo exhibitions at 108 Occidental Gallery in Seattle and Via Maria College in Buffalo. Curtis’s work has also been included in several group exhibitions at national and international venues such as 911 Media Arts Center in Seattle, Exit Art in New York, the Fox Art Gallery at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Artetica Gallery in Rome, Italy. Currently he lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
