Past Exhibit Represent October 15 - November 1, 2007 Represent is a group exhibition by current candidates for Master of Fine Arts at the University of Missouri. Media include painting, drawing, printing, ceramics, sculpture, fiber, installation, and combinations of these techniques. The artists deal with a diverse range of conceptual issues, which are the topics of their graduate theses. Visual art is informed by the culture at large as well as historical and contemporary issues. The creative research of graduate students in art reflects their study about some of these issues. This annual exhibit showcases the newest, cutting edge work of the MFA candidates. It provides the opportunity for local exposure within the community and for face-to-face discussion about the work. This exhibition will be held from Monday, October 15 to Thursday, November 1, 2007. A reception will be held on Friday, October 26 in the George Caleb Bingham Gallery from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with Artrageous Fridays. The exhibition, reception and Artrageous Fridays are free and open to the public. |
