Past Exhibit MFA Thesis Exhibition: July 24 - August 28, 2009
Bite the hands that feed you, is a MFA thesis exhibition by artist Chris Morrey. Wild dogs, decorative metalwork, tidal waves, Modernist architecture, Buddhist icons, and the Horsemen of the Apocalypse are some of the themes that collide in these intricate, dramatic bronze sculptures. The exhibition will be installed in the Fine Arts Building courtyard located on the southwest corner of Hitt Street & University Avenue. Opening day is in conjunction with Artrageous Friday. Chris Morrey is a sculptor residing in Columbia, currently a candidate for the Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Missouri. This exhibition is in partial fulfillment of the degree requirement. A closing reception will be held Friday, August 28, from 5 - 8pm. Refreshments will be served. The exhibition and reception are both free and open to the public. |
