The George Caleb Bingham Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition Printed Matter featuring recent screen prints by local contemporary artists Ric Wilson, AWG, and Bob Hartzell.

Ric Wilson is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He is a graphic designer and printmaker who has participated in numerous national printmaking shows. He received his MFA from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003.

AWG received his MFA from Indiana University-Bloomington and has taught for Indiana University-Bloomington and the University of Missouri-Columbia. His artwork has been exhibited in various national and international exhibitions. His prints have also been included in traveling shows that have been exhibited worldwide.

Bob Hartzell is a graduate student in Fibers at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Bob is from Chicago, where he got his BFA at SAIC and was active in the art and music scene. His 2-D and 3-D work can be seen in movies, on television, and in a variety of published material. He also recently received the honor of being named Time Magazine “Person of the Year” for 2006.

This exhibition will be on display in the George Caleb Bingham Gallery from January 29, 2007, to February 15, 2007. A reception will be held in the gallery on Thursday, February 1, 2007, from 4:00-6:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
