Past Exhibit recursions: May 9 - July 15, 2005 The exhibition will be held in the George Caleb Bingham Gallery and will run from May 9th, 2005 to July 15th. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, May 12 from 4pm - 6pm, which is free and open to the public and will include music and refreshments. Laura Strand, Associate Professor of Fibers, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, will give a gallery lecture on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. entitled Mapping the Territory Between Hand and Machine. This exhibition is made possible by the Museum of Design in Atlanta, Georgia, the Fulton County Arts Council, the Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs, the International Surface Design Association, the Verna Wulfkammer Memorial Trust through the Columbia Weavers and Spinners’ Guild, and the University of Missouri-Columbia Department of Art. |
